Fernando Arango Villegas is a Colombian actor and visual designer, graduated from the University of Caldas (1998). At 52 years old, he enjoys national recognition for his participation in productions such as ‘I dedicate it to you’, ‘Las Villamizar’, ‘The queen of flow’, ‘Nurses’, ‘General Naranjo’, ‘The dolls of the mafia 2’, ‘Francisco, the mathematician: class of 2017’, ‘Escobar, the boss of evil’ and ‘Neighbors’, among others.
However, she faces legal charges for domestic violence against her ex-partner. Juliana García revealed the facts in an interview with the Caracol Television entertainment program, ‘La Red’, where she not only exposed the horrific events she experienced last Thursday, September 5, but also asked for justice, demanding that the actor Fernando Arango pay for his actions.

Juliana recounted how the assault, which occurred after a seemingly trivial argument, left her with serious injuries to her body. “We arrived home around 11:30 pm after a meeting with friends. We spent some time with my son, who then told me: ‘Go to bed, mommy.’ I went to bed and, shortly after, Fernando lay down next to me. My son then told me: ‘Mommy, I’m going to sleep at my girlfriend’s.’ I replied: ‘It’s okay,’” she said.
She added: “I fell asleep and woke up, and I heard him urinating in the closet and I shouted at him: ‘What’s wrong with you? Pig!’ And he started hitting me. I couldn’t believe what he was doing to me and I had no way to defend myself.”
The physical assault that Arango inflicted on his ex-partner caused multiple injuries, including blows to the face, nose, temple and jaw. “They did a CT scan on me, I don’t have a fracture, but I was hospitalized for two days. He hit me many times,” said the victim.
Juliana says that when she managed to get to safety, she called the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested Arango Villegas, in a house in the Campohermoso neighborhood. The victim also reported having suffered psychological violence from her ex-partner: “Fernando Arango is to blame for everything that happened to me, for the beatings and the psychological violence I suffered.”
On Thursday night, a judge legalized the arrest of the actor, who did not accept the charges brought against him by the Prosecutor’s Office. Finally, he accepted the request of the investigative body, which requested non-custodial measures, meaning that he was released.
The statements shocked the entertainment world, sparking a debate on social media about gender violence, bringing to light the voices of women who have suffered domestic violence at the hands of their partners.
The well-known actor is facing charges of personal injury and remains involved in the legal proceedings against him. He was also prohibited from communicating with the victim and from being present at her location.
