- The Racing club was away this Saturday evening on the pitch of Rennes stadium for the 5th day of Ligue 1. The Blood and Gold remained on two draws in the championship, in Monaco (1-1) then against Lyon (0-0) at Bollaert. Facing another direct competitor for Europe, Lens at least did not lose a point, but left Rohazon Park somewhat miraculously.
- Rennes took the lead in the middle of the first period thanks to a penalty converted by Arnaud Kalimuendo, former Blood and Gold player (24th). With only one shot scored at half-time, Racing proved to be almost non-existent on the Bretons’ pitch. They had to rely on a final ball and the goal of the incoming player M’Bala Love at the end of additional time (90e+6) to pocket an unexpected point.
