A complaint was lodged by the City of Rennes. Saturday 1is May 2021, in the afternoon, people got into the Bréquigny swimming pool, the level of Nordic basin, to commit degradations.
Numerous material disorders were noted and the start of a fire caused damage under the canopy of the basin, damaging the walls and benches over three meters. It spread to a nearby container touching the electrical system.
Firefighters quickly intervened to bring the fire under control.
The swimming pool closed on Sunday
The swimming pool had to be closed on Sunday, while the technical and cleaning services of the City were mobilized to allow the reopening of the swimming pool on Monday.
An investigation has been opened.
