The government calculated that savings connected to free commuter and medium-distance trains, as well as 50% discounts on Avant and some AVEs, will reach 1,000 euros per family between the next months of September and December.

Guide to buying tickets
Since last August 8, users can register on the website and in the Renfe and Renfe Cercanías applications to prepare the necessary procedures for the purchase of season tickets starting this Wednesday. To purchase the subscription you will need to deposit a bail. In the event that the deposit is paid in cash, the refund of the deposit must be requested at the ticket offices, customer service offices or any other after-sales service authorized by Renfe for this purpose.
During the marketing period of the new recurring subscription, the sale of the rest of the usual season tickets will be suspendedeven if those that have been previously purchased will keep the validity with which they were acquired and can be used.
The subscription will be purchased for each Cercanías nucleus and will be valid for unlimited travel between any origin and destination. All customers will be able to obtain this pass at ticket offices, vending machines and via the Renfe Cercanías app, with the exception of the metric and conventional hubs of Asturias and Santander, where they can only purchase it physically.
The app will generate a QR code that will be downloaded to your mobile and can be used to go directly through the turnstiles in the Cercanías hubs in Madrid, Málaga, Murcia / Alicante, Valencia and Zaragoza. Likewise, it will generate a seven-digit code with which the pass can be obtained in physical format or loaded into what the customer already has at the ticket offices or vending machines in the centers of Cadiz, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Seville and Barcelona. . In any case, in the stations of these nuclei Renfe will have support staff.
Medium distance
In case of Conventional medium distance, the deposit will generally be 20 euros and if you make a minimum of 16 tripsbail will be returned. Galicia

Subscriptions first

Previously sold tickets whose journeys are used during the validity period of the discounts can request a refund of 50% of any journeys made during that period through Renfe’s after-sales channels. After the 50% discount, discounts will be applied for large families and other organizations.
For the Avant Card Plus subscription (30-50), three months of validity and 60 days of use are established from the travel date of the first formalization. For the Avant Card Plus 10 Normal and Student, 30 days are set for the first formalization and 20 days for its use from the travel date of said formalization. For Avant Tarjeta Plus 10-45, the validity and use period will be 45 days from the date of purchase, including this one.
New high-speed multi-trip passes
