Renfe has issued 88,200 free passes in Castilla y León for trips on Cercanas Ancho Mítrico and conventional Media Distancia, and Avant passes discounted at 50 percent during the first three months of validity in 2023, after the approval of the measure by the Government of Spain on December 27.
Of the total number of free multi-trip tickets issued to be able to travel between January 1 and April 30 of this year, 60,600 correspond to season tickets to travel on the Suburban Line, Metric Gauge Len-Guardo, and on conventional Medium Distance services.
In addition to the free passes, in Castilla y León nearly 27,600 Avant multi-journey tickets have been issued to travel on the corridors of this high-speed Media Distancia service, and in the new relationships declared Public Service Obligation (OSP) provided over the network high-speed trains in Castilla y Len for which recurring travelers can use Avant vouchers.

At the national level, Renfe has issued 2,160,000 free passes in Cercanas, Rodalies and Media Distancia, and Avant passes with 50% discounts during the first three months of validity in 2023, after the approval of the measure by the Government on 27 December. December.

In addition to the free subscriptions for recurring customers, Renfe has sold more than 90,000 tickets with 50 percent discounts from Avant to be used on high-speed medium-distance services.
SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR THE SECOND QUARTER FROM THIS SATURDAY
Starting this Saturday, Renfe users can obtain the free passes for Cercanas, Rodalies and Media Distancia for the second four-month period, for journeys between May 1 and August 31, 2023.
Passes can be purchased through the Cercanas Renfe app, and in the case of Media Distancia passes through the website www.renfe.com and usual sales channels.
For Avant rail services, the 50% discount on passes is maintained, a discount that also applies to other high-speed routes that have been declared a Public Service Obligation (OSP) and that operate under the same conditions as an Avant Pass. .
To purchase the subscription, although it is free, it is necessary to deposit a deposit of 10 euros in the case of Cercanas and Rodalies, and 20 euros for each conventional Media Distancia service. Payment by card will allow the automatic return of the deposit once it is verified that the condition of having made 16 trips during these four months has been met.
Travelers who have used the free Cercanas, Rodalies or Media Distancia pass in the first four-month period of 2023 will have their deposit returned as long as they have complied with its conditions. Those who pay the deposit with a card will be automatically returned.
