After finalizing a new cabinet change -with the modification of five ministers and 15 undersecretaries-, President Gabriel Boric affirmed that this adjustment will allow “renew balances” in the pro-government alliance and improve management capacity.
“What motivates me to make these changes, despite all that has been speculated in recent days, are not political pressures or minor compensation, but to improve our response and management capacity in the face of urgent citizen demands,” said the President, in line with what he had already stated at the beginning of the week.
“We need people with knowledge of the State and with experience to be able to respond without delay or excuses to the emergencies of the citizenry,” he insisted: “It is no use blaming those who were there before or the cobblestones.”
“I have decided to give space to new leaderships, which Chile needs to build a new stability,” said Boric, who indicated that this change supposes a “renewed balance of our alliance (between the coalitions of Democratic Socialism and I Approve Dignity), with a synthesis between experience and new energies, new paintings”.
After enumerating a list of the specific tasks that he entrusts to each of his ministers, Boric emphasized that, after the first year of government, “it is no longer time for diagnoses, it is time for action.”
“I call on you to deploy on the ground, to beat up the seremis, favor results over ideologies and change the lives of Chilean men and women for the better,” he declaimed.
“Today our Government is present for a better future. Get to work! ”, She closed.
