René Weiler at FC Nantes to replace Antoine Kombouaré?

Penultimate in Ligue 1, almost eliminated from the Europa League, FC Nantes are experiencing a very, very complicated first part of the season. A situation that could be fatal for Antoine Kombouaré, especially in the event of a bad performance this Sunday against Stade Brestois.

It is therefore in this context that the first rumors about Kombouaré’s succession at the helm of the FCN flourish. And obviously Mogi Bayat would already be working in this direction.

According to MSV Foot, Bayat has in fact offered the services of René Weiler. Without a club since leaving Kashima Antlers (Japan) last August, the 49-year-old Swiss manager has traveled extensively in recent years: FC Nuremberg, RSC Anderlecht, FC Lucerne, Al Ahly SC and then Kashima.

Belgian champion (Jupiler Pro League) and winner of the Belgian Super Cup in 2017 with the Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht, René Weiler was voted “Coach of the Year” in Belgium in 2017.
