René van der Gijp (63) has successfully undergone surgery on his right eye. The TV analyst only has ‘a very little bit of pain’, said ‘Vandaag Inside’ colleague Wilfred Genee (57) on Thursday in the SBS6 talk show.
“That’s fine”
“I just received a message that the operation went well,” Wilfred reported. According to him, René must return on Friday for a check-up. “But that’s fine.”
63-year-old René reported in the program last week that he had to go under the knife because the retina of his right eye detached. As a result, he said he could no longer see ‘anything at all’ through that eye. Due to the procedure, he is not on television for two days.
