René will also not attend the upcoming broadcasts Today Inside be visible. According to Wilfred, he still suffers a lot from his eye surgery. “He now has to lie on his side for three days,” he said. According to the presenter, the operation also took much longer than usual. “It also took much longer. It took an hour and fifty minutes.”
The fact that René has to rest in the coming days and mainly lie on his side proves to be very difficult for him. “We just came to the conclusion that René prefers to lie on his back,” say Wilfred and Johan Derksen.
According to sports journalist Valentijn Driessen, the gentlemen are rather ‘easy’ about the painful procedure and it certainly doesn’t seem like fun to him. “That seems really terrible if it comes close to your eye,” he says.
René had to go under the knife because the retina of his right eye detached. In Today Inside he previously stated that he had problems with his eye. “I can’t see anything out of my right eye anymore, nothing at all.” Last Thursday he announced that the operation had gone well.
Just before his operation, René and Johan had a big discussion at the table Today Inside. Wilfred talks about this in the video below:
