Renders have appeared of what the Apple Airpods Studio would look like, an over-ear headphone that has been rumored for a while. The renders show a design without a 3.5mm jack with only a USB-C port.
Jon Prosser shows the renders and adds in a video that it concerns renders made on the basis of real images, but copied so as not to identify the sources. One of those images came out via a Wednesday tweet from choco_bit.
The headphones have a detachable headband and detachable ear pads. The attachment is magnetic. In addition, the design is symmetrical: the headphones can determine which ear is left and right and adjust stereo sound accordingly. There are sensors in the ear cups for this. Anyone connecting the headphones to a Mac or iOS device should access extensive equalizer settings.
The renders show the headphones without a 3.5mm jack. Instead, only wired audio can be listened to via the USB-C port and adapters, Prosser claims. Apple would like to release the headphones this fall. The most popular price is $ 350. That is in line with that of Bluetooth headphones from Sony and Bose. Apple has not responded to the information.
