Created in 2021 at the National Arts Club and at its invitation, the Festival of Francophone Authors in America is celebrating its 3rd American edition and its 5th international edition. A creation of the Rencontre des Auteurs Francophones network born in New York in 2020.
Sandrine Mehrez Kukurudz & Francis Dubois founded this unique meeting in this legendary place that is the National Arts Club, bringing together several dozen authors from 3 continents. The Festival is the signature event of the Rencontre des Auteurs Francophones network, which brings together around its 12 branches
international organizations and its ambassadors, 350 authors from 50 countries. Amanda Sthers is the godmother of the network, Marc Levy and Yasmina Khadra its godfathers. Among its honorary members: André Comte-Sponville, Jean-Baptiste Andréa, Alexandre Jardin, Grégoire Delacourt, Monique Proulx, Line Papin, Éric Chacour, Olivia Elkaïm.
In 2024, the Festival spans 4 days and extends from Manhattan to Westchester.
This year, Rencontre des Auteurs Francophones is multiplying its meetings and going beyond the borders of Manhattan to also go to Westchester
May 15: Meeting with the International Organization of La Francophonie.
May 16: Meet at the Maison de l’Occitanie for an evening “From Camus to Gary”
May 17: Francophone Literature Festival in Mamaroneck in Westchester
May 18: 3rd edition of the Festival of Francophone Authors at the National Arts Club

Tribute to Romain Gary
In 2024, we will celebrate the centenary of the birth of Romain Gary with entertainment and local and foreign guests. To complete the tribute, Éditions Rencontre des Auteurs Francophones are publishing an international collaborative collection, which will be launched during the New York Festival and whose
call for texts will close in March 2024.
