Renault presented the concept of a compact SUV called Scenic which will be launched in 2024 and will have 100% electric propulsion. From 2030 this Scenic will also be in the hybrid electric-hydrogen version, the idea being that the electric propulsion should be used over short distances, and the hydrogen installations should increase their autonomy a lot. It is estimated that after 2030 there will be more hydrogen filling stations.

Scenic is a well-known MPV produced for three decades by Renault. The stage will become an SUV, changing its silhouette.
The Scenic Vision concept refers to an SUV with an electric motor, but with extended range up to 800 km from a hydrogen running gear.
Renault starts the production of Megane E-Tech electric this year, and in 2024 it will start the production of the electric SUV Scenic.
The car is 4.49 meters long, will be powered by a 160 kW electric motor and there is a 40 kwh battery, but also 16 kW fuel cells, from 2030. In the front there will also be a small tank that can be powered by hydrogen. Fuel cells will charge the battery on the go, and this battery may be smaller and cheaper than conventional electric cars.
The range can reach a total of 800 km, and the hydrogen supply can last a maximum of five minutes.
