The concept used the Megane E-Tech Electric’s engine but with a higher output of 215 horsepower (160 kilowatts), combined with the smaller 40 kilowatt-hour battery. In addition, the concept had a 16 kW hydrogen fuel cell for charging the battery. Whether the fuel cell will still make it to production remains to be seen.
It is worth noting that the Scenic name was previously used by Renault on compact MPVs in Europe, but from now on it seems to share the fate of the iconic Espace name, which was previously reserved for MPVs and is now used on an SUV, it says insideevs.com.
