Renault Trafic has a facelift. It has changed mainly inside

Renault seemed to be joking when it announced work in April to modernize the Trafic. The French van received a small facelift last year, so it was speculated whether Renault would not present a completely new model in the autumn. Instead, a more significant facelift actually arrived.

Visually, the novelty retained its shape and shapes typical of a larger delivery. The front hood and mask have changed, which is now much more decorative. New are full-LED headlights. The large chrome Renault logo on the bow in combination with the rest makes a rather flashy impression.

The delivery underwent major changes, especially in the interior, which now focuses much more on the modern concept than on the traditional efficiency. The whole dashboard and storage spaces are new. One of the largest is hidden behind the gear lever and in total the traffic will offer passengers 86 liters of storage space. Also new is the multifunction steering wheel and the large infotainment display with an eight-inch screen, which also provides support for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Engine performance has changed. The car will be offered exclusively with a two-liter diesel engine with outputs of 110, 150 and 170 hp. A six-stage manual or a two-clutch automat will then be available. A new model will be launched at the end of March 2021.

The introduction of the new Renault Trafic comes just after Renault has not agreed on further cooperation with the Italian Fiat. He decided to turn his back on the French carmaker and his Talento model, built on the foundations of the newsagent, will probably continue to develop with the PSA group, under which it belongs under the new name Stellantis.
