The robust electric car was unveiled as a concept car in Paris this week under the name of the Renault 4ever Trophy.
The car has clear design features of the old, iconic Renault 4. More than eight million units were built from the early 1960s until 1992. But there’s not much else other than the profile that resembles the little one. number 4.
The Renault 4ever is significantly larger – 4.1 meters in length – which means it could become a competitor to Hyundai Kona Electric and Peugeot e-2008.
In addition, it is an SUV with a high ground clearance and a purely electric transmission. The battery is 42 kWt, which can give a range of about 30 miles, and the engine of 136 horsepower.
The plan is that 4ever, if that’s the name, will be delivered to the first customers in 2025.

New icon
Before that, Renault will launch two more electric car innovations. This summer, the latest examples of the successful Renault Zoe model were delivered to customers in Norway. In December next year we will see the final version of the new compact electric car from the factory.
It too draws inspiration from a previous Renault success, the model 5. Here too it is above all the aspect that we can recognize from the old Renault 5, which in the 80s was a great seller.
The platform the car is built on has room for a battery that should provide a range of around 40 miles. Although the production-ready model will be unveiled in December next year, it is unlikely to hit Norwegian roads until just before 2024.

Electric car for families
An electric version of the Scenic is also planned for the Renault Scenic Vision, as the concept car is named, according to Renault chief Luca de Meo, to be launched in 2024, in other words, in less than two years.
– This will be Renault’s new family electric car. The concept car shows what the electric Scenic will look like. The car is 4.5 meters long and has a 217 horsepower electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The project includes both a pure electric car and a hybrid version, which combines a battery with a small hydrogen power plant, explains the Renault boss.

Autonomy of 80 miles
The latter, in addition to the traditional electric car battery, will have a small tank for hydrogen gas which is converted into electricity through a 16 kW fuel cell. The autonomy of this car can be up to 80 miles. It takes five minutes to fill the hydrogen tank.
– These cars are three steps towards the goal of selling only electric cars in Europe by 2030, says de Meo.
