CLEAN DESIGN – A few hours after the presentation, the first images of the new one are leaked online Renault Mégane E-Tech, the crossover electric which will go on sale next year. The proportions are similar to those of the Nissan Ariya “cousin” with which it shares the CMF-EV platform and the electric powertrain. The front is characterized by thin horizontal LED headlights flush with the bodywork, with the new brand of the French house positioned in the center. The wavy LED daytime running lights that rejoin the bumper are special. The side line is clean, also thanks to the door handles hidden inside the doors, with generous alloy wheels and a slightly sloping roofline.
TECHNOLOGICAL INTERIORS – The interior of the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric they are technological and full of large screens. The dashboard is made up of an LCD, and the multimedia system from a vertical-development touch panel, under which there are the climate keys. Particularly the shape of the three-spoke steering wheel, slightly flat at the bottom.
WILL THERE ALSO BE THE 4X4? – According to the first rumors, the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric it will initially be offered with 40 and 60 kWh battery packs. The latter guarantees a range of 470 km. It is not yet clear whether the top version with four-wheel drive will also be available which, in the case of the Nissan Ariya, ensures 389 HP and 600 Nm, combined with a 90 kWh battery capable of guaranteeing up to 580 km of autonomy and a 0 -100 in 5.1 seconds.
ARRIVES IN 2022 – Made at the Renault plant in northern France, the new one Megane E-Tech Electric it will join the current thermal Mégane, and is expected to arrive in European dealerships around mid-2022.
