Renault has given up the most luxurious model in its range – Talisman. According to Motor1, the production of the sedan ended last month, and the same thing happened with the station wagon version. The news is not surprising, as such rumors have been circulating on the Internet for years, but it seems that the French company has finally decided on this step.
The model, whose popularity was controversial in Europe, boasts over 34,000 sales in 2016 and only 16,000 sales in 2019. In the past 2021, these figures have shrunk even further and Renault has sold only 8,025 new Talismans.
The Renault Talisman is available with several different engines, starting with 1.3-liter petrol with 140 horsepower, going through a 1.7-liter diesel with 150 horsepower and reaching the top version with a 2.0-liter diesel engine and 200 horsepower. The highest level of equipment – Initiale Paris offers leather seats with heating, blowing and massage, heated steering wheel, luxury wooden elements, Bose audio system with 13 speakers, turning the four tires and other extras.
