Renault started road tests new generation Duster crossover for the Russian market. This is evidenced by the spy photo of the car, which was at the disposal “Russian newspaper”… The picture was taken at the entrance to Moscow on the M4 Don highway.
The photo shows a crossover with camouflaged front and rear parts of the body. At the same time, the picture shows the characteristic sidewall and the glazing line second Duster.
Rumors that the new Renault Duster will reach Russia have been around since the debut of the crossover, which was unveiled in September 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to preliminary data, the production of cars can be established by the end of this year.
The new Renault Duster, which is sold in Europe under the Dacia brand, is built on the redesigned B0 platform. The line of crossover motors includes gasoline and diesel units with a capacity of 90 to 150 horsepower. In total, about two dozen combinations of power units, gearboxes and drive type are available.
It is possible that the second generation Russian Duster will be similar to a crossover sold in South America – also under the Renault brand. Externally, it can be distinguished from the European version thanks to a slightly different radiator grille and additional fog lights. In addition, its interior strongly resembles the interior of the Arkana model, whose first market was Russia.
Renault Duster of the first generation is still on sale in Russia, which is available with gasoline engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters, developing 144 and 143 liters. from. respectively. In addition, the lineup includes a 1.5-liter diesel producing 109 horsepower. Crossover prices range from 777,000 to 1,200,000 rubles.
