Renáta Kellnerová and her family are ranked 12th among the richest women in the world by Forbes magazine. The 55-year-old widow of PPF investment group owner Petar Kellner, who tragically died the year before last March, is worth $16.3 billion (more than CZK 372 billion), according to the ranking. Overall, she ranked 100th, making her the tallest of all Czechs.
Kellner officially became the richest Czech woman last September, when the resolution of the relevant court, which approved the deal on the distribution of Petar Kellner’s assets, became legally binding.
Petr Kellner’s heirs, his wife Renáta and his four children thus acquired a majority stake (direct and indirect) of 98.93% in the company PPF Group NV, which is the main holding company of the PPF Group.
Ms. Renáta Kellnerová thus became the majority shareholder of the PPF Group with a 59.358% stake, while each of Peter Kellner’s four children holds a 9.893% stake. All new shareholders agreed to be represented to the public by Ms. Renáta Kellnerová.
The richest woman in the world is the heiress of the French cosmetics empire L’Oreal Françoise Bettencourt Meyers ($75.4 billion). Followed by Alice Walton, the heiress of the founder of the Walmart retail company, with an amount of 59.1 billion dollars, and Julia Koch and her family (58 billion dollars). The ex-wife of the founder of the American Internet company Amazon Mackenzie Scott is in eighth place ($ 24.7 billion).
The wealth of the world’s richest people is monitored by the Bloomberg agency, for example, which uses a different methodology in compiling the ranking. Bloomberg estimates Kellner’s net worth at $11.8 billion, ranking him 154th globally.
According to Forbes and Bloomberg, the richest person in the world is French businessman Bernard Arnault. He is co-owner of the LVMH group, which is dedicated to the sale of luxury goods.
