Shortly after the final leg of Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour ended in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday evening, the 42-year-old singer released the trailer for the upcoming film, which will hit theaters on December 1.
The project, titled “Renaissance: A Beyoncé Film,” highlights the journey of the Renaissance World Tour, from its inception and opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri, according to an official synopsis.
The synopsis adds: “It’s about Beyoncé’s intention, her hard work, her involvement in every aspect of production, her creative mind, and her goal to create her legacy and perfect her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour has created a haven of freedom and shared joy for over 2.7 million fans.”
In the trailer for the film, which was released online after it debuted following Beyoncé’s recent tour hiatus, the “Hello” singer can be seen backstage performing on stage, according to the website. People.
“When I perform, I only feel freedom,” Beyoncé says in the clip, while scenes of her with her three children appear on the screen. “The goal of this tour was to create a place where everyone has freedom and no one is judged,” she adds, as other clips from the tour are shown.
Beyoncé concluded the two-minute video by saying, “I feel liberated. I’ve been transformed into a new being.”
