Before long, Remy Sylado gave a troubling answer. His breathing started to become shallow and it made the family panic. She breathed his last moments later.

“I finally didn’t see him leave, my sister said he wasn’t breathing. When I got there everything was cold,” Emmy continued, crying.

History of pain

Novelist Ca Bau Kan’s health has deteriorated since he suffered a third stroke in October 2022. Emmy told detikcom in early 2022.

“Before the third stroke, he previously had first and second strokes from 2011 to 2020,” Emmy said.

His condition began to deteriorate after the third stroke. According to Emmy, there was another illness that caused Remy Sylado to undergo dialysis twice.

“So the first time was because there was poisoning in his stomach, the doctor kept removing it. There was 2.5 liters in his stomach, because his whole stomach was enlarged. It was difficult,” he said. said.

“During the CAT scan, the doctor saw if there was any poison in the stomach and after operating on it, he removed it. It was around October 10, 2020,” Emmy continued.

For two months, Remy Sylado was treated in the hospital. On December 30, 2020, he was ordered to undergo outpatient treatment at home.

“After December 30, 2020 he went home, the doctor told him to go home because the cases of COVID-19 were high again. He went home to have acupuncture with electricity, he had been doing it for two months and stopped, he was told to send physiotherapy from the hospital. One visit, Rp.250,000,’ Emmy said.

Unfortunately due to the thinning of the economic conditions, the physiotherapy was interrupted. Remy Sylado also received no medical treatment and only herbs that his family gave him.

Two months ago, Remy Sylado complained of pain when urinating and defecating. It turned out that the family hypothesis was true.

Remy Sylado was suffering from a hernia and was operated on at Tarakan Hospital in January 2022. At that time, Anies Baswedan who was still governor of DKI Jakarta also visited him and promised that the government would cover the medical expenses .

Anies Baswedan’s promise

Until the end of his life, Remy Sylado still actively wrote. In early January, his wife, Emmy Tambajong, said there was one last novel by the artist that hadn’t been published yet.

The novel is called Brower. However, Remy Sylado already had a story idea and at that time the script was not yet written.

“You haven’t been able to write all this time. So there’s already a storyline in mind. It’s just not written yet. Hopefully so (after she recovers),” Emmy said speaking to detik. com .

According to Emmy, when Anies Baswedan visited him, he had been given advice so that Remy Sylado would be excited to fight her pain. And I hope to recover soon as usual.

“That’s why you have to be healthy first, you have to be able to sit down and type. So that becomes a script,” she continued.

Even then, Anies Baswedan promised to pay for the whole process of publishing Remy Sylado’s novel apart from the medical bills during her illness. But unfortunately, until his death took hold of him, his physical condition didn’t allow him to work on the story ideas of the novel.

The man whose full name is Japi Panda Abdiel Tambajong is the figure who started the poem “Mbeling” around 1972. At that time, it was the era of the New Order and many artists were silenced.

In the realm of literature, the poem “Mbeling” goes beyond existing boundaries and conventions. Unlike the previous generation which was full of rhymes, Mbeling appears as it is, even the words and letters used by Remy Sylado are strange.

In various interviews, Remy Sylado has explained that mbeling poetry exists as a reservoir of creativity for young people. It is expired, the poem is related to the words themselves as well as rhymes. Mbeling itself means bad, unruly and rebellious in Javanese.
