Remy Gardner Officially Joins Tech3 KTM in MotoGP 2022

Remy Gardner officially promoted to MotoGP starting next year. The Australian Rider will be recruited by Tech3 KTM.

Gardner has appeared in the Moto2 class since 2016, but only won his first victory in the last Moto2 2020 series, to be precise at the Portuguese GP. At that time, he defended the SAG Team.

Entering the 2021 season, Gardner moved to Red Bull KTM Ajo, and here his form has only improved. It’s been 6 series, the 23-year-old racer has never finished below the top 4.

He has even been on the podium 5 times, one of which has the status of a winner, to be precise in the Italian GP Moto2 last week. He now leads the 2021 Moto2 standings with 114 points, 6 points ahead of his teammate, Raul Fernandez.

With the certainty of appearing in MotoGP next season, Gardner can appear more focused in the rest of the season to win the world title.

“She is OK KTM want to give me this opportunity. A dream come true for me, and this is what we have worked for so far,” Gardner said as quoted by Motorsport.

“It’s a great opportunity for me, and I can’t wait to try the bike. Thank you KTM for trusting me.”

“Now we need to focus on ending the 2021 season in the best possible way. I want to thank all those who supported me to move up to MotoGP. The journey has only just begun,” Gardner emphasized.

Join Tech3 was nothing new to Gardner. He had joined in the 2017 and 2018 seasons, when the French team was still fighting in the Moto2 event.

By joining Gardner, then Tech3 will release either Iker Lecuona or Danilo Petrucci Next season. So far, both have not performed satisfactorily. Petrucci has only collected 23 points from 6 series, while Lecuona has fewer, which is 13 points.
