The declaration shows that last year Gauss made nine transactions, the amount of which exceeds the minimum monthly salaries set by the Cabinet of Ministers, amounting to 299,180 euros. Among other things, he made four purchases for a total of EUR 142 180, one sale for EUR 23 000 and ‘other’ transactions for the remaining amount, including a tuition fee of EUR 24 000 paid by Gauss.

At the end of 2020, Gauss also had two loans for the total amount of 383,000 euros, which is 29,000 euros less than a year earlier.

It has already been reported that in 2019 Gauss’s total revenue was 1.181 million euros, including the entire amount received from airBaltic.

It was also reported that during the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, from April 2020, Gauss waived his salary to support the company’s efforts to overcome the emergency. “From April until we can resume scheduled flights again, I will resign. My board and board members and chairmen, as well as managers, have already voluntarily agreed to reduce their pay by 20%,” he said at the end of March 2020. Gauss.

Last year, the airBaltic Group had a turnover of 142.6 million euros, which is 72% less than a year earlier, while the group’s losses increased 29 times and reached 264.6 million euros. The airBaltic Group includes the parent company Air Baltic Corporation and its subsidiaries SIA Baltijas krov centrs, AS Aviation Crew Resources, SIA Air Baltic Training and SIA Loyalty Services.

The Latvian state owns 96.14% of the voting rights in airBaltic’s capital, while the financial investor, Danish businessman Lars Tussen, owns Aircraft Leasing 1 – 3.86%.
