Since November 1 is All Saints ’Day and November 2 is Late, next Monday and Tuesday, after the usual two – day weekend, it will also be possible to enjoy the holidays.
On November 2, we enjoyed our holiday for the first time in 2020. In June 2019, the Seimas decided and, by adopting an amendment to the Labor Code, stated that companies, institutions and organizations would be closed not only on November 1 of each year (All Saints’ Day), but also on November 2 – Remembrance Day.
This would create conditions for the people of Lithuania to nurture the traditions of honoring the dead, unique to our culture, giving the All Saints a special status, as provided for in the UNESCO Convention on the Intangible Cultural Heritage ratified by Lithuania.
Another long weekend is planned until the end of this year – during Christmas and Christmas.
We will rest on December 24 (Friday), December 25 (Saturday) and December 26 (Sunday).
