It is with great sadness that I learned the reminder to God of my friend, my relative, my parent marabout and brother of all the brotherhoods and confessions of Senegal. The man was of immeasurable size.

I shed warm tears of sadness and very strong dismay. Malick Sy you will, without a doubt, leave a big void in Tivaouane, Touba and everywhere in religious homes. My awakening was indeed so brutal. You leave your talibé alone, when he had not yet finished drinking from your inexhaustible sources of knowledge and divine light.
This brutal and premature disappearance of Serigne Pape Malick Sy should remind us of our fallible human condition. We are all mortal. Everyone will see this day. So let’s go back to God. I will not stop crying this man who marked my life in all aspects.
I suspend all my activities and for eight days, the time to go and offer my condolences to my marabout and Father Serigne Babacar Sy Mansour, to the President of the Republic and to my sister Marème Faye Sall.
I take this opportunity to thank all those who thought of me on this overwhelming occasion including the S / G of the presidency, Mouhammed Boune Adallah Dionne, my friend Malick Sall and Ablaye Sy, Dage from the Ministry of Justice.
