Remembrance Day 2023: the state ceremony for the martyrs of Israel’s systems at the Memorial Hall

The Remembrance Day events that began yesterday evening, will continue today with the state ceremony for the martyrs of Israel’s systems at the state memorial hall on Mount Herzl.

The ceremony with the participation of bereaved families will begin at 10:58 a.m. when the President of the State, Yitzhak Herzog, will enter the Mishkan; The Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and the Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana. The ceremony will be attended by the heads of the security organizations, as well as the chairman of the Yad Labanim organization, Eli Ben Shem, the chairman of the IDF Widows and Orphans Organization, Tami Shelah, the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon and people more

The memorial candle will be lit by Yaffe Perkel, the widow of the late Sergeant Moshe Tal who fell in the Yom Kippur War on October 25, 1973, and the sister of the late Moshe Kleinold who was killed on July 5, 1974.

At 11:02 a quartet of planes will fly over Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. When the plane arrives over the memorial hall, one of the planes will fly a salute.
