Zuhair Ramadan was born in the city of Latakia on the Syrian coast, in 1959, and graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Acting Department, in 1983.
Zuhair began his artistic career since the 1980s, and participated in many dramas and films.
The deceased was famous for a number of roles, especially comedic ones, most notably: the corrupt policeman “Abu Jawdat” in the series Bab Al-Hara, as well as the character of the chosen one, “Abdul Salam Al-Basiya” in the series “Daya’a Daya’a.”
Ramadan participated in dozens of dramatic television works, perhaps the most prominent of which are: Basmat Al-Hazan, Al-Sharid, Oleander Days, Roses in Salty Soil, Kom Al-Hajar, Shami Bath, Khatoun, Brokar, and Attar Al-Sham.
Zuhair joined the position of President of the Syrian Artists Syndicate in 2014. He also participated in political work and became a member of the People’s Assembly in 2016.
The deceased married a Syrian woman in 1984, but he did not have children.
In 2021, the Arab public said goodbye to Zuhair Ramadan, who passed away from his fans who remember him for many works that brought joy and happiness to their hearts.
