The incomparable and charismatic Upsilon (AA, Canturo x Fusain de Defey) died on Friday morning at just fifteen years old. Faithful accomplice of Thomas Carlile, the stallion has trod some of the finest eventing grounds.



De Pompadour, where he won the Cycle Classique six-year-old final in 2014 (first video) at the seven-year-old world championship at Lion-d’Angers the following year (second video), during which the duo placed second, including their victories at the CCI 2* in Hartbury in 2015 (third video)at the Saumur Grand National in 2017 (fourth video) and at the Milstreet CCIO 3* in 2018 (fifth video)Upsilon scored the all around.

Although his career was relatively short, Upsilon having been forced to stop competitions in 2019 due to neuromotor system disorders after suffering from a mutant form of the herpes virus, his career has been marked by many victories.
