The world of entertainment is once again dressed in mourning, after the death of Tyler Christopher, recognized for his performance in the series General Hospital and for which he received an Emmy nomination, was announced.
Christopher died this Tuesday morning in his apartment in the city of San Diego, after suffering a “cardiac event,” according to his co-star Maurice Bernard. He was only 50 years old.
The news was confirmed by Maurice himself, through a message on social networks, where he not only regretted the actor’s departure, he also remembered him as a talented man who dedicated much of his life to speaking openly about his relationship problems. mental health and addictions, with which he hoped to inspire others to get ahead:
“Tyler was a sweet soul and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment, and was open about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol,” she wrote. Likewise, he said he was devastated by the loss and sent his condolences to his loved ones: “We are more than devastated by the loss of our dear friend and we pray for his children and his father,” he concluded.
After his death was announced, fans and close friends of the actor did not hesitate to express themselves about it, wishing him eternal rest and quick resignation to his family.

Tyler was part of the series The Twilight Zone, but achieved fame in ’96 thanks to his role as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital, a program in which he remained for ten years. In 2018 he joined Days of Our Lives playing Stefan DiMera.
