Sadness fell over the artistic community in Egypt, after the death of the artist Tariq Abdel Aziz, on Sunday afternoon, at the age of 55, after he suffered a severe heart attack while filming his scene in the series “We Stayed Two” starring Sherif Mounir, in the main plateau of the work, in 6th of October City. .

Abdel Aziz had a heart catheterization operation at the beginning of last June, after health crises he had suffered in recent months, so that the series “We Left Two” would be his first artistic work after his recovery.

The funeral is scheduled to take place at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed City on Monday afternoon, while the date and location of the funeral have not yet been determined, according to Azouz Adel, a member of the Council of the Acting Professions Syndicate, in an official statement.

Behind the scenes of death

Karim Abu Zekry, producer of the series “And We Left Two,” revealed the scenes of Tariq Abdel Aziz’s death, explaining that “the deceased had been in the location since Sunday morning, and did not complain of any health problems, and he was full of energy, and he dealt with everyone very kindly, and he showed up on time.” To prepare the scene well before starting filming.”

He added that immediately after filming the scene began, he fainted, without warning, creating a state of anxiety and fear among the work crew, stressing that he was taken to the hospital immediately for first aid, until he breathed his last upon arrival.

He said, “The death of Tariq Abdel Aziz was a very strong shock to all those working in the series,” describing him as “a very friendly person with those working in the series, and he had a strong relationship with everyone, so his death left a profound impact on all of them.”

Sharif Mounir, Rania Youssef, Mimi Gamal, Youssef Othman, Tamer Farag, Azza Labib, Yasser Al-Tobji and others participate in the series. The work is written by Amani Al-Tunisi and directed by Tariq Refaat.

“A lifetime friend”

A large number of artists were keen to offer their condolences to the family of the artist Tariq Abdel Aziz, as they revealed their extreme shock at the sudden departure.

The artist Mohamed Henedy wrote, through his official account on Instagram: “Brother, support, and lifelong friend… May God have mercy on you, O Lord, you broke our heart… and may God give us patience with your separation,” while Hani Salama wrote: “We belong to God and to Him we shall return… May God have mercy on my brother and colleague Tariq Abdul Aziz…and he inspired his family and his family with patience and tranquility.”

Hamada Hilal expressed his extreme shock, saying: “May God have mercy on you, the most compassionate person.. May God have mercy on you, who loves the truth.. May God have mercy on you, my friend.. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.. I ask you to pray for my brother and beloved Tariq Abdel Aziz,” as Menna wrote. Fadali: “There is no power nor strength except in God. God’s survival is in the honorable artist Tariq Abdel Aziz in heaven, and its bliss, my dear.”

Director Magdy Al-Hawari revealed Tariq Abdel Aziz’s will, via his official Facebook account, saying: “As you told me, when I die, Magdy, keep saying to your people, ‘Have mercy on me.. You are very much loved by me.. Present, Tariq.. And the Prophet, oh. He has a will… Let us all have mercy on him.”

Biography and career

Tariq Abdel Aziz, born in 1968, graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1991. He made his artistic debut through university theatre, in 1986, with the Al-Haraka Theater Troupe, accompanied by Khaled Al-Sawy and Khaled Saleh, as well as the Al-Warsha Troupe, with Hassan Al-Gritli.

The late artist enriched the art library with dozens of cinematic and dramatic works over the past years, most notably: the series “We Are Returning, Hawa,” “Rahim,” “Cain,” “Fat-Engagement,” and “The Fourth Wife,” as well as the movie “ 200 pounds,” “Clash,” “Youm Malush Lazma,” “Dokan Shehata,” and others.
