The Seventh Day monitored snapshots of the works of the late artist, Ahlam El-Gretli, coinciding with the anniversary of her passing, as she left our world on February 28, 2021. The artist, Ahlam El-Gretli, was born on February 20, 1948. Ahlam El-Gretli worked for 33 years on the Vanguard Theater, and concluded them with a performance of “Petlomouni Les,” in In 2007, she presented a number of theatrical performances on the National Theater stage, including: “Macbeth,” “The House of the Spins,” and “The Women’s Prison.” Then she returned to the forefront again to present “Cairo 80,” “Honey is Honey, and Onions are Onions,” and “The man who ate the goose.”
Among her most prominent cinematic works are: “Shabab Take Away,” “Days of the Maid Ahlam,” “One True One,” “An Hour and a Half,” “Rakalam,” and “Sweetness of Rouh.”
Among her most important dramatic works are the series “The Tales of Al-Mandash”, “Who Shot Hind Allam”, “Critical Moments”, the series “Cinderella”, the sitcom “A Man and a Woman”, “The Legend”, “Younes Ould Fadda, The Game 2”, and the series Lulu, where she appeared as a guest star in the series, The Prince and the Fatwa.
She played with her voice important characters in the world of Disney films, and one of the most famous roles of Ahlam El Gretelli is the character “Crisis” from the movie “The Emperor’s New Life,” Madame Raqia, from the movie “Cats of Ones,” the Queen from the movie “A Bug’s Life,” and Coco Hanem, from the movie “Robin.” Hood,” in addition to a number of other works, where through these roles she was able to draw a smile with her voice on the faces of generations of fans of these works around the world, who were associated with her.
