The career of the late artist Ahmed Khalil was marked by many positions, on the artistic and humanitarian levels, including his decision not to work on television after becoming blind, and the conditions of his marriage for the second time to a wife of German nationality.

The late artist Ahmed Khalil, who today marks the second anniversary of his death, as he passed away in 2021, on this day, November 9, at the age of 80, affected by his infection with the Corona virus, spoke during his interviews about these situations.

Temporary blindness

The late artist Ahmed Khalil spoke about that incident, after which he left working on television, during his appearance with the journalist Mahmoud Saad on the “Bab Al-Khalq” program, and he said: “While filming a series, the production official brought me a meal consisting of a quarter of a kilo of kebab and salad, and in The next day he brought out the same food, and the director noticed that it was unsafe, and after he refused to change it, she ate one piece of kebab.”

He added: “After that, I became temporarily blind, and I was hot-tempered at the time, and I swore not to work on television again.”

A quarrel with Suheir Al-Babli

The late artist Ahmed Khalil revealed the reasons for his separation from the artist Suhair Al-Babli, after a two-year marriage, and said: “In our first meeting, she treated me harshly, and I did not accept this matter at all, so a quarrel broke out between us, but the quarrel ended with a marriage proposal, and in fact we got married after Filming of the work ended, and it did not last more than two years, as the story ended with a separation due to the harsh conditions that the female artists were going through, and we separated while we were friends.”

German, oh, Arabic, no

The late artist Ahmed Khalil’s marriage to his second German wife was subject to several conditions that he set himself.

Regarding these conditions, the late artist spoke, during his appearance with the journalist Mahmoud Saad on the “Bab Al-Khalq” program, and said: “My brother hosted one of the German girls in his house to visit Egypt, and the visit was scheduled for 10 days and extended for 3 months, and my mother got to know her and introduced me to her so that I married her even though I rejected the idea of ​​marriage at first, but after I saw her in our house one time from her back, I liked her and we got married quickly.”

He continued: “I asked my family not to teach my wife the Arabic language so that life could continue between us, but they taught her the language and life continued between us, and I have never seen anyone in my life who loves Egypt as much as she does. I would wake up to the voice of my wife Heidi quarreling with my child before she went to nursery, and she would say to her: “Dad said don’t come down unless you pray.”

The late artist Ahmed Khalil was born in Dakahlia in 1941. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1965, and then joined the Pocket Theater. There he participated in a number of important plays, which were presented in classical Arabic, and he starred in many series, including “Morning and Evening Talk.” , “the woman’s hand,” “the rake,” “ostrich feathers,” “silk thread,” “kif,” “fatwa,” and others.
