Remembering Tariq Abdel Aziz: A Life Well-Lived and Friendship Forever Strong

There was a strong friendship between the artist Tariq Abdel Aziz With his two friends, Khaled Saleh and Khaled Al-Sawy, they were members of one group, and between them were ten, and they were old enough to grow up together and enter the field of art together, until the death of the late star Khaled Saleh came and it was a shock to them and they continued to remember him with goodness. Then Khaled Al-Sawy received the shock of Tariq Abdel Aziz’s girlfriend to join his friend Khaled Saleh. Khaled Al-Sawy appeared at Tariq’s funeral, collapsed and could not control himself from crying. He continued to embrace the son of the late Tariq, and Ahmed Khaled Saleh remained next to Moatasem Tariq Abdel Aziz during the funeral and received the mourners and did not leave him for a moment, continuing their father’s friendship.

At the time of his obituary, Khaled Al-Sawy wrote: “My life-long friend and brother, may God have mercy on you, Tariq, my beloved, I am trustworthy to you. Say hello to every group of rights, hold me in the midst of you, and be happy with those who came before.

Among Tariq Abdel Aziz’s memories, through his Instagram account, he posted pictures of their youthful days with Khaled Saleh and Khaled El-Sawy, and on El-Sawy’s birthday, he wrote: “Happy New Year and support to your loved ones and friends, O group of artists.”

The artist Tariq Abdel Aziz passed away last Sunday at the age of 55, after suffering a sudden heart attack while filming his scenes in the series “We Left Two” with the artist Sherif Mounir, which is scheduled to be shown soon on one of the United Media Services channels, where he was filming a scene that brings him together with Sherif. Mounir suddenly fell to the ground and suffered convulsions. Immediately, his son – his business manager, who was with him in the location – took him to the hospital, but he had breathed his last before arriving.

Tariq Abdel Aziz made his artistic debut in the university theatre, then he joined the workshop troupe led by Hassan El-Gritly, which was one of the most important free workshops existing at that time, and through it he presented the play “Dair What’s Going On” starring the artist Abla Kamel, Ahmed Kamal, Ahmed Mukhtar, and Dr. Mahmoud Al-Lawzi. Sayed Ragab and a large group of artists and writers presented this play on the French cultural stage.

The late artist also participated in the movie “My Upper Egypt at the American University” with the artist Mohamed Henedy, and a distinguished group of young people. Among his most famous roles in the beginning were the role of the program maker in the movie “Friends and Business,” and the role of the Copt in “A Cultural Film.”

Tariq Abdel Aziz presented many dramatic works, including: “Rahim,” “Abu Dahdha Janan,” “The Group,” “Professor and Head of Department,” “Qabil,” and “Monsieur Ramadan Mabrouk Abu Al-Alamin Hamouda.”
