Mammootty said that PV Gangadharan had not only a desire for cinema, but also an indomitable enthusiasm. Mammootty also said that the film on a big canvas like ‘Vadakanveeragatha’ is a reflection of his passion for cinema.
‘PVG had not only a desire for cinema but also an insatiable enthusiasm. That is why he can create heroic stories. ‘Ahimsa’ was a blockbuster movie of that time. Like ‘Vadakanveera Gatha’, the film on a big canvas is a reflection of PVG’s passion for cinema. I am sad that I will not be able to see PVG for the last time as I am traveling. Our relationship spans four decades. Only PVG is traveling. The love he left behind and the innocent life message he passed on to the next generation will be here,” said Mammootty.
Prominent film producer and Mathrubhumi director PV Gangadharan passed away at a private hospital in Kozhikode at around 6:30 on Friday morning. He was the founder of Grihalakshmi Productions, which produced many films that have gone down in the history of Malayalam cinema and won national awards.
