Natalia Strizhenova Today, July 28, theater and film actress Natalya Strizhenova would have turned 65 years old. The actress died 20 years ago from an overdose of alcohol and psychotropic drugs.
Natalia was born into a family of Soviet film stars Oleg Strizhenov and Marianna Strizhenova. From the Gadfly and Gemma (the so-called artists for their roles in the film adaptation of Lilian Voynich’s novel “The Gadfly”), the daughter inherited her parents’ beauty, talent and, alas, addiction to alcohol. Oleg Strizhenov drank heavily in his younger years and even disrupted filming. Actress, director Natalya Bondarchuk told EG about her partner’s drunkenness:
– Oleg Strizhenov is a wonderful artist, I happened to shoot with him, and in extreme conditions. But he suffered from drunkenness.

– Vladimir Motyl removed Oleg Strizhenov for drunkenness from the role of Volkonsky in the film “Star of Captivating Happiness”, but he wrote a paper to the Central Committee and returned the role. And in the film “The Youth of Peter”, where I played Sophia, and Strizhenov – Prince Golitsyn, was filmed after a long drinking bout. My teacher Sergei Gerasimov arranged for part of the filming to take place in the Kremlin. And at this time, Oleg Strizhenov began to drink heavily. For a whole week he was not on the set. A week later, he appeared with such a red face that I was scared, – the actress admitted.
Oleg Strizhenov divorced Marianna, whom he shamelessly cheated on with other artists, and married actress Lyubov Strizhenova. It was in this marriage that the future producer and actor Alexander Strizhenov was born. But this union of the actor with the actress was short-lived. Strizhenov’s third wife, actress Lionella Pyrieva, became the woman who made him happy. Note that Oleg Strizhenov recently turned 93 years old.
At this time, Natalya Strizhenova grew up with her mother and was deprived of her father’s attention. Marianne even had to work as a concierge to raise her daughter. Her beauty was fading, and she was a rather mediocre actress. But Natalya Strizhenova brilliantly graduated from VGIK and showed great promise. She starred in the classic Vladimir Basov in Priestley’s film Time and the Conway Family and many other leading roles.
The girl was no less talented than her star father. But on her way, the actor Nikolai Kholoshin met, who addicted Natalia to drinking. After her divorce from Holoshin, Natalya Strizhenova was very worried and drank even more. In this marriage, the daughter of Alexander Holoshin was born. At one time, Alexandra was collecting money allegedly for a monument to her grandmother. They say she is engaged in surrogate motherhood, and also participates in various shows. Natalya Strizhenova is buried at the Golovinsky cemetery next to the grave of her mother. Marianna Strizhenova died on May 12, 2004 at the age of 79, and Natalya on May 21, 2003. The actress died from an overdose of alcohol and psychotropic drugs. The death of her daughter was a blow to Marianne.
Oleg Strizhenov does not want to hear anything about either his late daughter Natalia or granddaughter Alexandra Kholoshina. And he communicates willingly with his son Alexander Strizhenov and with her family.
