On Friday night, November 17, a tribute episode of “The Stage” program for the late artist Najah Salam was shown.
Media personality Carla Haddad hosted a number of guests to talk about the late singer’s career in Lebanon and Egypt.
In contact with the daughter of the late Samar, the latter revealed the qualities that distinguished her mother, including “self-esteem and very high dignity, courage, courage, and the ability to confront, the most important of which is motherhood.”
Samar said: “Najah was an exemplary mother present in our lives, but if motherhood conflicted with dignity, my mother would have chosen dignity, I think. Motherhood was not a weakness for her. She was one of the first artists to spread the Lebanese song in Egypt and the Arab world, and she insisted.” She must present herself with her Lebanese identity.”
In a conversation with the late granddaughter, Dalal revealed that her grandmother “did not give up singing recently, even after wearing the hijab, but rather moved away from the artistic community. For Najah Salam, art was a message and a weapon against injustice and defending issues.”
