“We lost a legend last night. Hard to explain how brilliant my uncle was,” wrote Sam Lerner on Instagram. Actor Michael Lerner died on Saturday April 8 at the age of 81.

Born in 1941 in New York, he grew up in Brooklyn then in Ohio. His first appearance on television was at the age of 13, in a sports program.
