“We lost a legend last night. Hard to explain how brilliant my uncle was,” wrote Sam Lerner on Instagram. Actor Michael Lerner died on Saturday April 8 at the age of 81.
Born in 1941 in New York, he grew up in Brooklyn then in Ohio. His first appearance on television was at the age of 13, in a sports program.
The teenager is passionate about theater and studies at Brooklyn College before obtaining a scholarship to the University of Berkeley, California, then another to study in London (United Kingdom).
In London, he lives in an apartment with… John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He also participates in the film Smile de Yoko Ono, en 1968.
The same year, he returned to the United States and joined the theater conservatory in San Francisco.
In 1969, cinema and television made her eyes soft. He landed roles in series like The Brady Bunch, Clueless et MASH. His first film role was in 1970 in Alex in Wonderlandby Paul Mazursky.
