Jakarta –
Since Matthew Perry died last weekend, social media has been flooded with footage of the actor Chandler Bing’s scenes in the sitcom Friends.
Several artists expressed their condolences, and recently his colleagues on the popular series made statements exclusively to People Magazine.
Through this statement, they really lost a figure who was not only a work friend but also a family member.
“We are all devastated by Matthew’s passing. We were more than just colleagues. We were a family. There is so much we want to share, but at this time we will take a moment to grieve and process this unexpected loss.”
“In time we will say more, if we are able. For now, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends and everyone who loves him around the world,” the statement continued.
The message was signed by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
The Friends series may have only been in production for 10 years, but the show became an icon of the 90s and has survived to this day.
They also reunited at Friends Reunion in 2022 and caused a stir because it brought fans nostalgia for their teenage years when they watched the series.
Previously, it was reported about the testimony of Los Angeles firefighters who responded to an emergency call from Matthew Perry’s residence at 11.45 am local time.
“An adult male was unconscious in the jacuzzi,” fire department spokesman Nicholas Prange said.
“A local resident lifted the man’s head above the water and carried him to shore, then firefighters removed him from the water when they arrived.”
“Unfortunately, a quick medical examination determined the man had died before first responders arrived.”
Firefighters also said they did not perform CPR on Matthew Perry because he was past the limit for medical attention.
