Lyudmil Todorov was born in Gorna Oryahovitsa on January 12, 1955. He graduated from the English high school “Geo Milev” in Ruse, and in 1982 – VITIZ “Krastyo Sarafov” (today NATFIZ) with a degree in “Filmmaking” in the class of Georgi Dyulgerov and Mladen Kiselov.
He is the director and screenwriter of the films The Bonito Migration (2012), Seamstresses (2007), The Emigrants (2002), Two Men Out of Town (1998), Emilia’s Friends (1996), The Love Summer of a Lochman” (1990), “Running Dogs” (1989), “Flowers in the Dark” (1987). As an actor, he played in “Pieces of Love” (1989), “Measure by Measure” (1981), “Life on Demand” (1987), “Every Kilometer” (1969-1971).
He is the author of the books “To Lose Winnie the Pooh” (1988), “Chronicle of a Love” (1993), “Chronicle of a Fall” (2000), “Barge in the Desert” (2013), “The Blackbird Choked on a Cherry” (2016). Last year the novel “Changing Optics” was published.
