[OSEN=유수연 기자] On the birthday of the late Astro group Moonbin, fellow artists remembered him.
January 26th is the late Moonbin’s 27th birthday. He passed away in April last year. His funeral was held quietly and privately according to the wishes of the bereaved family. On his first birthday since his death, congratulations poured in from his fellow artists.
First of all, Seventeen’s Boo Seungkwan from ’98’s, BBG’s Sinbi and Umji, who were said to be Moonbin’s close friends in the entertainment industry, celebrated Moonbin’s birthday by posting a photo of a birthday cake on social media. Umji drew a picture of Moonbin, saying, “She’s 27 now. Let’s grow old together all the time. Happy birthday to her, Bin. I miss her a lot.”
Meanwhile, Seventeen’s Woozi released the song ‘What Future’ to coincide with Moonbin’s birthday on the 26th. Previously, after hearing the news of Moonbin’s death last year, Woozi promised, “When will you release it? I wanted to hear the song ‘What Future’ when I sang it. I will take responsibility in some way and even if it means fighting with the company, I will unconditionally bring it to you on your birthday.” Afterwards, Woozi kept his promise to Moonbin by releasing the digital version of ‘What Future’.
Astro members also celebrated Moonbin’s birthday. MJ and Jinjin celebrated Moonbin’s birthday by releasing a selfie with him, and Cha Eun-woo left a letter on his YouTube channel by posting a video of a cover song that reminded him of Moonbin.
Cha Eun-woo said, “I want to congratulate you on your birthday like always, but you’re probably watching somewhere, right? Happy birthday, my friend.” He added, “I work harder every time I think of you, and every time I miss you, even though it’s hard, I pulled myself together and prepared a drama and an album! When it comes out, I work harder.” “Please take a look,” she said to him.
