Today, Tuesday, will be the anniversary of the departure of Marilyn Monroe, the great artist Hind Rostom, who passed away from our world on August 8, 2011.
In a rare meeting with the late great journalist Wajdi al-Hakim, the late star Hind Rostom said that she hates filming in apartments and prefers studios and photo studios, confirming that she used to have a room in which she rested in the plateau, but the apartments when filming in them feel like a monkey in the mountain and people come Al-Sawadni insults him, as apartment owners bring their children and neighbors to watch her film and thus feel uncomfortable.
And Hind Rostom, her real name is Nariman Hussein Murad, and she was dubbed by critics “Queen of Seduction” and “Marilyn Monroe of the East.” She was new to participate in the movie “Flowers and Thorns” in 1947, but director Helmy Rafla admired her at the time and gave her a small role.
Then she played the role of a “mad” girl in only two scenes in his movie “Women Don’t Know to Lie” with Ismail Yassin, Shadia, and Shukri Sarhan, and after that she launched into the sky of art.
And she presented up to 100 films of the most famous Egyptian cinema films, which remain among the most prominent characters of Hind, “Hanuma” in Bab Al-Hadid, “Toha” in the movie “Toha” with Mohsen Sarhan directed by Hassan Al-Saifi, and “Tohma” in the movie “Ismail Yassin in Madhouse” and Aziza in “Ibn Hamido” with Ahmed Ramzy.
In 1979, the artistic career of a star who fell in love with the cinema screen ended, as Hind Rostom retired from art while she was at the height of her stardom, out of respect for the desire of her husband, Dr. Muhammad Fayyad, whom she married after her divorce from director Hassan Reda.
