The former mayor of the municipality of Stamboliyski, Ivan Yakov, has died, his classmate reported on social networks. He passed away yesterday after battling an insidious illness for over a year.
Dr. Ivan Yakov was elected with the support of the SDS and governed Stamboliyski in the term 2003-2007. He was born in 1962 in Plovdiv. He graduated in medicine in the same city, then specialized in ENT.
