Ramakers played in dozens of Dutch films and series during his life. He appeared as a commissioner in Unit 13 (1996-1998), director of the dairy factory in Meiden van de Wit (2002) and father of Connie Palmen in the drama series IM (2020). He also appeared in supporting roles in film hits such as Abeltje (1998), Lek (1999), Sint (2010) and Krijgswinter (2008) by Martin Koolhoven.
The actor started his career at the Theater Academy in Maastricht and was on stage for decades. Ramakers played extensively at Orkater, Theater Nomade and Het Nationale Toneel in The Hague. He also appeared in the hit musical Aïda (2001) as the pharaoh.
“His death is a great loss and has deeply affected the entire cast and crew of Elixer,” said a spokesperson for producer Topkapi. Ramakers had shot almost all his scenes, so his death has no influence on the completion of the NTR/BNNVara series. The eight-part drama series from director Dana Nechushtan is about the world of Big Pharma.
