Actress Chrisje Comvalius has passed away at the age of 75. She suffered from Alzheimer’s and passed away peacefully in her sleep, production company Banijay Benelux confirms.

Comvalius starred in the series Good times Bad Times for four years the role of Dorothea Grantsaan, who was the mother of Bing (Everon Jackson Hooi) and the wife of Jef (Bartho Braat). The soap character was written out of the series in 2008, much to the dismay of Comvalius himself.

Until a year ago, the native Aruban was still active as an actress. Her career started in 1998. She was then seen in the series, among other things To watch out!!!. Later she also acted in the movie Strong stories (2010) in Eighth graders do not cry (2012).

Alzheimer

In 2020, Comvalius was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, a form of dementia that affects the brain. The former GTST actress was recently the face of a large public campaign by Palliative Care Netherlands.
