Al-Marsad newspaper: Radio personality Abdul Karim Al-Khatib, presenter of “The Good Earth,” the most famous morning show in the Kingdom, died yesterday at the age of 90.
In his last interview with Al-Arabiya channel, Al-Khatib recounted his memories of his radio career, where he pointed out that the “The Good Land” program began in 1984 AD and was dedicated to farmers. He pointed out that the writer Khaled Zaraa, his nephew, was the one who wrote the words of the program’s introduction. .
His career progression
In 1987 AD, Al-Khatib was chosen to join Riyadh Radio, but he was surprised that the radio did not produce programs, but rather depended on Jeddah Radio. He held a meeting with the radio’s preparers and directors to develop a program production plan.
His program, “Abu Hamdan,” was launched in 1994. It is a drama program that lasts for 10 minutes and continued for 12 years. He concluded his speech by saying that the “Abu Hamdan” program was stopped by some officials, and after it was stopped, he submitted his resignation from the radio.
