Remember, South Japek II Toll Road Operates Special Functional for Class I Vehicles

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Toll road South Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II will operate functionally to support services for the homecoming and return of Lebaran 2022.

The functional line that will be operated starts from the Sadang Interchange (SS) to Kutanegara along 8.5 kilometers.

According to the President Director of PT Jasamarga Japek Selatan (JJS) Charles Lendra, the functional line is opened only for small vehicles or class I (non-buses).

“This functional line is opened only for small vehicles/class I (non-buses), with a maximum vehicle speed of 60 kilometers per hour,” explained Charles in a release, Friday (22/4/2022).

After passing the functional route, road users will pass 15-20 kilometers of non-toll roads, one or two lanes in each direction to re-enter the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road.

Users who re-enter the Japek Toll Road will enter the East Karawang Toll Gate at Km 54 for return flows and the West Karawang Toll Gate (GT) at Km 47 for homecoming.

To ensure the readiness of non-toll roads that will be passed by road users, JJS coordinates with the DKI-West Java National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN).

This is a matter of road construction readiness, installation of temporary signposts, to increasing transaction services at the East Karawang GT.

JJS will also prepare supporting facilities on the South Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II toll road such as lighting, signage, stick cone and flag man to guide road users, officers and monitoring posts, temporary refueling facilities, and others.

Functional line Road South Japek II Toll Road is part of Section 3 (Tamanmekar-Sadang) along 27.85 kilometers which is currently being the priority work of the total project as a whole.

Total length South Japek II Toll Road later it will reach 62 kilometers which is divided into 3 work sections.

For Section 1, namely Jatiasih-Setu along 9.3 kilometers, Section 2 Setu-Taman Mekar along 24.85 kilometers, and Section 3 Taman Mekar-Sadang along 27.85 kilometers.
