Electronic Arts’ recent statement that 14 titles will be published in the new fiscal year (i.e. by the end of April 2021) has sparked the rumor mill. In addition to the usual suspects such as Madden, FIFA and NHL, a mysterious “additional EA-HD title” was named – and that is itaccording to Venturebeat.comrumored to be a remaster of theMass Effect Trilogy.
The magazine does not present a hint of an explanation of the source from which the hot information should come – but editor Jeff Grub seems so convinced that he once again points out his disclosure in the news with a personal tweet:

The wording on Venturebeat.com also sounds very confident:
“Oh, and the HD remaster of an EA game is the Mass Effect Trilogy. But don’t expect it to come on Switch at the start – at least not at the beginning.”
Incidentally, the complete list strangely speaks of a “remake” instead of “remaster” (Grubb also corrected the wording in another tweet):

PCGamer.comadds that rumors of a new mass effect part were already appearing in 2019: this could suggest that EA wants to spur interest a little with the remaster trilogy. The publisher himself has not yet commented on the speculation.
