Jupiler Pro League
Brazilian attacker Igor Thiago (22) will move to the Premier League next season. The Club Brugge striker is taken over by Brentford, the team that has been keeping an eye on Antonio Nusa for a long time. More than 37 million euros would be involved in the transition, a record in the Belgian competition.
The 22-year-old Thiago signs a five-year contract (with a one-season option) with the number 14 in the Premier League.
The attacker will finish the season at Club Brugge, after which he will make the switch. He has only been working for Blue-Black for six months. He will not stay in Bruges for longer than a season. He has already scored 26 goals in 40 games this season.

Brentford would put Thiago on the table for 37 million euros (plus a percentage in the event of a resale), which pushes him to the top of the most expensive outgoing transfers in Belgium.
It is striking that Thiago is the Bruges native who is leaving for Brentford. During the entire transfer period, teammate Antonio Nusa seemed to be moving to the English club. The deal was done until Brentford encountered a knee problem during medical tests. Club always ruled that there was no issue, a judgment that was confirmed after additional investigations in Norway.
