A thousand employees twenty years ago
“We knew since last year that Stellantis had abruptly stopped a contract for the manufacture of tubes for air conditioning which bound us until 2026”, says Éric Jarry, who deplores several years of difficulties and progressive relocations. Currently the factory only runs with a contract for Renault, but the diamond manufacturer also wants to lower prices and therefore relocate its supplies to Hungary and Morocco.
In the early 2000s, more than a thousand employees worked in the Chartrain factory. “We launched the Polish factory, installed the machines and trained our Polish colleagues.
