The Chartrains smile again despite the autumn cold this evening of Saturday 26 November. The Municipality has started the illuminations of some streets and squares in the city center for the end of year celebrations.
Christmas celebrations in Chartres: here is the detailed program of all the activities
To fully enter this Christmas period, the inhabitants took part in the parade led by the company Les Ambianceurs. About 200 people followed the procession! The families, mostly accompanied by their children, rejoiced in front of the lively and energizing show of the eight dancers of the company.
Between choreography and acrobatics to the rhythm of revisited and modernized Christmas carols, spectators rediscovered, with joy, the familiar spirit of the Christmas festivities. The procession left the cathedral and went around the pedestrian streets.
The Christmas tree arrived this morning from the Vosges to Dreux
At the end of the parade, the decorations installed by the Municipality, place Châtelet, boulevard Chasles and in the small streets of the city center were lit. The tree, Place Marceau, was also decorated during the week.
